Why The 'WE" - women & entrepreneurs
51% of the UK population are women, and whilst here are almost half a million new start ups created each year (SFEDI report) and the no. of female entrepreneurs has risen by nearly 10% in the last 2 years (Office of National Statistics); still only 19% of business owners are female (RBS, Women In Enterprise Report) and only 26% of FTSE 100 board members are women.
Although this figure has grown from 12.5% in 2011, there is still a long way to go to reach gender balance (Women on Boards, Davies Review 2015).
Our mission is to support women & entrepreneurs who are running their own business to ensure that these figures continue to grow. Our marketing consultancy and marketing mentor services are able to provide a network of experience, support and advice to compliment you and your needs.

Lesley has over 15 years senior level marketing experience from managing household brands such as Lucozade, Ferrero Rocher, Kinder Surprise and Aquafresh, to name but a few. She is a keen strategist, expert problem solver, loves an ROI spreadsheet and has a mean creative eye. With a passion for making marketing simple, and a desire to help those who want to create something for themselves, Lesley set up We Mean Business, London in 2015 with the mission of supporting entrepreneurs & women in business. Lesley loves the challenge of new brands and helping them unlock their potential.
+ Marketing Consultant
Rachel has over 15 years of experience in marketing across brand management, category management, shopper marketing. She has developed her experience in the UK working for brands such as - Coca-Cola, Lucozade and Ribena, and in North America where she helped start-up businesses. She is also a keen scuba diver and busy mum of 3 boys and can therefore add multi-tasking to her long list of strengths.
